Could you do it??

Many of our audiences at our 'sing-outs' often say they 'don't know how we do it'. That we must be so musically skilled. But the truth is the majority of our members cannot read a note of music and cannot play a musical instrument.

The only one thing they have in common is the ability to sing in tune.

All our learning is done from teaching tapes, CD's and audio files. The part to be learned is recorded on one channel and the accompanying parts are recorded on the other. In this way, songs are learned by listening to one 'speaker', then listening to both to see how the part fits in, and then by singing against the other.

Of course learning the notes is only one thing in the total performance and coaching is given on issues like voice production, phrasing, breathing expressions and vowel formation.

Most of our new members learn their first song in one or two chorus sessions.

If you think you'd like to give it a try, we'd be pleased to hear from you. Contact our Membership Secretary Jack Tuckley and he'll let you know when our next induction starts.... we are always looking for new members.
